Surat-ul Kahf and specialties.

 

Surat-ul –kahf is the 18th chapter of holy Qur’an. The word meaning of Kahf is cave. It contains the story of a gang of youth who escaped from the tyranny of an arrogant and infidel King for keeping their faith and took refuge in a cave. Allah made them sleep. When they woke up after a long period the things were totally changed. Just because of this explanation of the sleepers of the cave this Surah was named as Al-Kahf. There is also the mentioning of the Noble personalities Musa(a) ,Khidr(a) and Dul Kharnain.

 

There are many peculiarities for Surat-ul-Kahf. Several hadiths prove it. Some of them are to be mentioned here. There were 60000 angels When the Surat-ul-Kahf was sent (Kanzul Ummal). If one recite Surat-ul-Kahf in a Friday his heart will be illuminated until the next Friday. (Hakim)

When one recites Surat-ul Kahf in Friday night a beam of light will be stretched towards the Holy Kaaba(Hisnul Haseen)

Some Hadiths depicted that if one recites regularly all days he will be protected from disease like head ache, pain of chest, leprous etc…
